For some strange reason it appears that regardless of RAM, motherboard, graphic cards, or any other combination (been through many) even lower end Core 2 Quads and lower spec Graphic cards, the Intel based systems seem over priced. It either ends up being like 1100, or 1300, then I have to shave things off to lower the price.

The Intel System (bottom) is £990

The AMD System is £960.

I also believe that the AMD has a genuine Quad with 4 single cores unlike the Core which has 2 dual’s stuck together.

I’m having difficulty on choosing boards still, even though the M4A79T has more slots on triple they run at 8x not 16 so it’s not that spectacular; neither do they have any PCIe x1′s.

I apppreciate any help. I cannot exceed £990. Not even by £1.

Currency is in Great British Pounds. An no I am not shopping at Newegg, they don’t ship to the UK, not even Canada for that fact.

THANKS -

FX

Also take note with the M4a79T there is no sound card, which means flat realtek sound, the Crosshair III Formula does save money an includes a “good” sound card, but I’m still willing to choose otherwise!

TY again
